Fortune 200 Company Conducts Live Webcasts to Global Professional Staff with BizVision

For one Fortune 200 manufacturer and supplier of components and engine parts within the automobile industry, with major technical centers, manufacturing sites and customer support services around the global, internal communications and events can be difficult, especially when cost effective live video webcasts are required for training and other means.

The company found that outsourcing their live video needs to BizVision met and exceeded their needs and expectations. With BizVision’s help, the company was able to implement secure, live training and other events via the web to employees, executives and other professional staff to global locations around the world.

Business Challenge

The company had long realized live video was one of the most impactful ways to communicate to their remote corporate audience. What they needed was an affordable option that met all of their needs - affordability, customizability, quality and security.

With a large global staff, the company needed to find a way to conduct company events and training to hundreds of people around the globe. Specifically, they needed to conduct two events. One to 200 – 300 human resource members in different U.S. and international regions; the second was a global sales leadership conference.

Both events originated out of their corporate headquarters and needed to be comprised of live video, PowerPoint presentation and an ability to allow participants to interact with the presenters. Previously, the company used webinars, but found it difficult to provide live video on a global basis and often times had to use audio or voiceover to communicate through a PowerPoint presentation.

Additionally, the company needed a way to keep the events secure from access by unauthorized users, and they needed a platform that could provide live streaming video of their presenters alongside the PowerPoint presentation. They had access to a professional videographer who could provide the video services they needed, but not the platform.

Bottom line, the company, with the help of their local videographer who is part of the BizVision videographer network, turned to BizVision to help them provide quality global live video events utilizing a platform customized to their corporate brand to organize their video and other content, provide security and to pull all this together within a matter of days.

The Solution

BizVision had the capability to make it very easy for the company to get their webcasts off the ground. Within just a few days, BizVision was able to provide and customize its online video and professional education platform in preparation for the live events. The customization included the company logo, a video window and a PowerPoint window. BizVision was also able to customize the platform with a template that allowed them to switch to a software demo window and then switch back to the presentation window.

During the event, BizVision’s videographer was able to provide the professional video services needed while the BizVision technical services team monitored the servers streaming the live video via Internet to the various locations around the world and switched the presentation and demo streams when needed.

Using Level 3 edge servers scattered across the country for redundancy and scalability, the videographer published the video to the feed where it was combined with the rest of the platform allowing the slides and video to be synced together. This also ensured high-quality production due to increased reliability when publishing the video and content to the live streaming webcast.

To provide needed security, BizVision locked down the live webcast behind an authentication wall that was active only for that day. The wall was deactivated to prevent unauthorized users from accessing it. This allowed the company to share sensitive information with confidence. Additionally, BizVision was able to make adjustments for low bandwidth locations in developing parts of the world.

The Result

Within just a matter of days, the company was able to successfully conduct two major live online events for its global staff at a very low perceived cost. They were able to combine live video with PowerPoint presentations with a combination of a customized secure platform and outsourced local videographer. They were able to provide the same live experience to various points around the world as if they were in the same room at the corporate office where the event originated.

The combination of platform and videographer accommodated their ability to provide a strong event.

LendKey Utilizes BizVision Videographer Network to Meet Marketing Campaign Timeframe

“The [video] quality was something we were never going to be able to replicate on our own.”

LendKey is a technology company that provides a cloud-based platform making it possible for any party to quickly, securely, and profitably lend to anyone else. www.lendkey.com Used primarily by larger financial institutions such as banks and credit unions, the platform provides services and expertise previously not available.

“We provide expertise in asset classes,” said Devin Hughes, director of account development at LendKey. “We allow institutions to build an online application that provides great features such as instant credit decisioning, verification systems, and allows an applicant to get real-time results on the application and final approval from the lender.”

Since LendKey deals with larger institutions, the lead close rate can be lengthy – from six months to a year in many cases. As a result, Hughes and his marketing staff are always looking for ways to shorten the gap between a lead to a closed sale.

One of the techniques they decided to use was a campaign designed for their top-tier leads that included sending a specialized mailer that contained a small gift and a link to a URL of a personalized video from the clients’ sales representative going over their technology and key branding message. At the end of each of these videos were buttons they could click to links that would provide additional information.

Business Challenge

The biggest challenge Hughes faced was finding a way to video each of the sales reps that resided and worked in different parts of the country – in most cases remotely from their homes. They wanted high quality professional video work, but weren’t sure how to go about getting it.

They contemplated sending video cameras to each of the reps and having them set up the camera, turn it on and giving their presentation. They also considered having friends video them.

None of the solutions was ideal for them due to quality concerns and the professionalism needed for great video footage.

“The quality was something we were never going to be able to replicate on our own,” said Hughes.

The Solution

After searching for a solution, Hughes and his team discovered the video production services of BizVision, a provider of live video webcast production and services, and their national network of videographers. The network provides local professional videographers in each state and all major metropolitan areas.

The BizVision videographers were able to coordinate locally with each of the differently located LendKey sales reps to professionally shoot the video. Since they were on a very short timeframe to complete the project, BizVision was able to pull off the productions in each of the various locations in just a matter of days. They coordinated with each sales rep, placed them on camera and sent the video files to Hughes for postproduction.

This allowed Hughes to build just one web page and then just drop in the name of the client and the personalized video that would be used in the mailer campaign.

The videographers were also able to find and use office space as a background to improve the professional look the company was shooting for. (Since the reps worked out of their home.) Additionally, their professional service allowed the rep to stay focused on the energy and messages they wanted to communicate in the video instead of worrying about how to set up and use a camera.

The Results

Due to the localized BizVision videographers who were able to begin work on the campaign immediately, LendKey was literally able to get the campaign off the ground on time.

“Each of our sales reps were able to get the meeting with the client they desired as a result of this video campaign,” said Hughes. “Our sales process is quite long and I know we closed a few from this campaign. We’re working with financial institutions as a third party vendor and so I know we’re still in some of those conversations as well.

“They can take six months, or they can take a year depending on how big their institution is and how big their team is. It’s just important to present yourself as important and leaving a great impression that can help influence their decision. BizVision allowed us to do that.”

According to Hughes, BizVision’s pricing was very reasonable. “We were in a time crunch so we were willing to pay a bit more. We were pleased with the pricing and quality. Especially the quality of the video footage.”

The three most important results for LendKey resulting from their experience with BizVision included:

·       Their experience with the videographers of the BizVision videographer network was very good.
·       The video quality was very good and exceeded their expectations.
·       They were professional – “We heard really good things about the videographers from our sales people who interacted with them.”

BizVision’s network of videographers greatly enhanced and made possible the success of LendKey’s sales and marketing campaign.
